Today is shaping up to be a great day. I’m poised, energized and ready to get some workout in later today. Man, let me tell you, losing weight post-baby is not an easy feat! With very little time + lack of sleep, it’s so easy to live in a constant state of “I just had a baby seven months ago”! But, I am determined to…well, not be fat. My motto: I’ve never been fat, I’m not going to start now! I think it’s a great motto–feel free to substitute fat for things you want to change, like, “not be broke”, “disorganized”, whatever you feel like.
I’m constantly pinning to help facilitate my inner inspiration + motivation.
From Dawson’s Creek to Indy films and movies like ‘Dick’ and ‘My Week With Marilyn’, Michelle Williams has definitely proven she’s one movie star + celebrity style icon to be reckoned with. I have taken a liking to her lately, especially after watching her as Marilyn in the movie, “My Week With Marilyn”. That movie inspired this post from a few weeks ago. She exudes so much confidence as a woman. I adore her as an actress, love her sense of style, and that haircut, wow, that haircut. I love her.period!

Love the bow on this bright orange-red dress, gorgeous
Jean Jackets are making a splash this year in slimmer, high cut styles that fall just above the waist. Celebrities are having lots of fun rocking this old, new trend like it’s the ’90s. Honestly, I don’t know why this wardrobe staple went out of style in the first place. In my opinion, jean jacket is a timeless piece that looks great with skinny jeans, maxi dress, shorts, etc.
Everyone has owned a jean jacket at one time or another. I had one from Express in my early 20s. I would throw on over my bikini + shorts after a day on the beach before grabbing dinner + drinks w/friends. For a night out in South Beach, pair it with gold platform heels and I’m ready to dance the night away at BED or any one of the hottest spots in SoBe!
I styled this look to show how I would wear the jean jacket + shorts, love the platform heels!
I.Love.Her–that’s all I have to say! She’s gorgeous and I am completely crushing her big time! I can’t wait to get my subscription in the mail so I can read the full interview. See accessories from the cover shoot here.
Black + ivory pieces are classic and timeless that always seem to work on just about anyone, and can be dressed down or up for any occasion. I always feel more comfortable when I wear black and ivory because of the clean contrast of the two colors. Adding some gold bangles, necklace with some funky shoes can spice up the look. Animal print is huge this season and leopard print is one of my favorites prints for shoes. It can be worn casual as flats or super sexy as this leopard print pump.
Don’t you just want to slip into them and strut your stuff?
